It’s a tough act to follow Cher Horowitz’s iconic closet, but hey, someone’s gotta do it, right? That being said, if there is one closet that could top Cher’s rotating rack filled with yellow plaid suits and Calvin Klein silk slips, it’s the Teen Vogue beauty closet. We (along with our friends at WhoWhatWear) were fortunate enough to pop by Condé Nast headquarters and have Teen Vogue’s Beauty Director extraordinaire, Eva Chen, open up the magazine’s legendary doors. We had a full-access pass to the hundreds of products Chen and her army of stellar interns test out on a daily basis. And although not everything ends up on the pages of TV, we’ve shopped the closet for you, and now it can all be yours. (Just click “Shop The Look,” et voila!) But with so many products and so little time, we made sure to have Chen give us a rundown on her “perennial favourites”: Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Stain in Amused, SK-II masks, Burt's Bees Pomegranate Body Scrub, Fresh Lip Sugar in Rose and Living Proof Full shampoo/conditioner. Between the beauty closet and her personal desk, there was no shortage of eye candy for us beauty junkies. From her mini-bottles of CHANEL Les Exclusif perfume to her Hello Kitty obsession, Chen’s office is filled with quirky trinkets and whimsical objects that are a perfect reflection of her playful and peppy personality. And we’ve got to hand it to the veteran editor: not only does she know the beauty world, but she’s got a pretty good grasp on the style side of things, too. She truly represents the Teen Vogue girl: she’s a master of mixing high/low, she’s super social media savvy (we’re obsessed with her Twitter and Instagram; follow her, kids!) and she’s got the stand-out-in-a-crowd style and great energy to back it all up.

How nice it will be if everyone dresses in elegant, gorgeous and pretty clothes everyday and everywhere! This is the vision of Eva Chen.Grown up in an artistic family Eva started to learn Erhu, dancing and drawing when she was 6 years old. Later she gained professional art and fashion study at a fine art institute. During the past 20 years she traveled and lived relatively in Singapore and Los Angles, San Francisco, New York and Europe before she settled down in Vancouver, Canada in 2000. Living in overseas opened her eyes and enriched her experiences in pursuing beauty of art and fashion. She has absorbed the merit of different culture and put them into her design and made her fashion very international.
Vancouver is such a beautiful city in North America. 12 years of living in Vancouver further inspired Eva to started officially in fashion industry in 2010 and she reached to the top in a very short time.
Today Eva Chen is a rising brand in North America. Eva Chen is a sought after fashion designer.
Every year 10 fashions were picked for most welcomed pieces from spring / autumn fashion shows from show places in New York, Montreal, Tokyo, Vancouver, etc. In 2010 out of top 10 fashion pieces from 30 fashion designers 2 fashions are from Eva Chen's collection.
There are many special reports on Eva Chen from The Globe and Mail, The Vancouver Sun, The Province, World Journal, Singtao Daily, Fashion Chicago, CCTV Morning News, ifeng TV Morning News, Omni TV (Channel 8), Xinhua Net, Korean TV, media from England and other European countries etc.
Louisa Rino of Flare magazine commented on Vancouver Fashion Week of April 2010 that Eva Chen's collection was steeped in old Hollywood glamour. Eva Chen's slim hipped styles features luxurious and lace trim. Feathered hats were worn by all the models. Many pieces resonated with old world glamour.
