Fabre/deMarien (Kunst)
Since graduating from the Bordeaux School of Architecture in 2003 and 2004, they are investing and contributing to the built environment and realized projects. Their first commissions being the transformations of mixed use spaces, warehouses, garages, restaurants and private dwellings.
Since, they have delivered a series of 6 houses (Ram, Ice Cube, Cours du Médoc, Big Black House, Little Black House and rue de Pauillac), which illustrates their work through a style of contemporary living amongst an urban environment.
Fabre/deMarien were invited by "arc en rêve", the center of architecture, Bordeaux, to develop their housing concepts at a bigger scale in the historic centre of Bordeaux, through an opportunity to produce ideas cited by Incité, an established Bordeaux renovation association. Their results made the focus for an exhibition at the old textile warehouse during the 2008 Agora Architectural Biennale in Bordeaux.
In 2006, they won the competition to design the future regional Home of Architecture, which was completed in February 2009.
During this period arc en rêve, exhibited the practices methodology and work with the practice itself being installed in the white gallery during March 2009.
Presently Fabre/deMarien continue to work on several residential projects, both new and refurbishments, on two social housing projects and are soon to deliver a construction/ refurbishment project of a wine making complex in the region of Bordeaux.
