For the past decade I have had a passion for still life photography. I photograph every day objects, things found, discarded or cherished. I combine the primary subject I am interested in with other found material that will provide a structure or setting. When I finally arrive at a basic composition that interests me I refine that composition until it feels right. Because I work with available light, I watch how the changes in light affect the scene I have created. At some point in time the light will start to come from the object itself, which is what I am looking for and that is when the exposure is made.
