How Do You Possibly Give Every Day!

Do you ever have those days that you are so overwhelmed you don’t get anything done because you are so overwhelmed? Today was one of those days for me and I still needed to find a way to give. How did I possibly think I could find the time to give every day! Day 282: Give 282 I am a real person at the other end of 365give. I don’t have volunteers or helpers writing for me every day or giving for me every day. I don’t have a twitter team or Facebook specialist linking me up across the internet. I am one women trying to do something to make the world a better place and some days it’s just hard. Some days I have so many other things going on with my child, my family,my dogs, my house and my paying job that at 8:00 pm I am sitting in Starbucks trying to get some work done and I realize I haven’t done anything to give today. Now what? I have committed to giving back to the world every day for 365 days, I have 83 days to go and I have nothing planned. It’s not like I can go volunteer somewhere now. But I am out, I am at Starbucks, it’s pretty busy. How could I still do one thing today to give. I’ve got it! Starbucks is my inspiration to give! I will by a coffee for a stranger. It’s not anything remarkable, I’m not saving a child in Africa or making some grand environmental gesture but I can be thoughtful and kind to another human being and hopefully make their day. Philanthropy is defined as: 1) The effort or inclination to increase the well-being of humankind 2) Love of humankind in general The definition doesn’t say anything about making a large donation, giving away half you r wealth or volunteering for 10 hours. All we need to do is to “increase the well-being of humankind.” My give of the day may have been small but I did it! I did my give of the day even when I thought I couldn’t.
