Johnathan Gale (Kunst)

Growing up in London, Johnathan, at the age of 13, began his career by perfecting the hair color of his friends and family. Not long after, he began working with his mentor’s Jo Hansford and Daniel Galvin in one of Europe’s first hair color salons.

He was a natural at color. Opportunity after opportunity opened up for this talented young man as he traveled the world. After Australia, Johnathan decided to return to London with celebrity hair stylist Sam McKnight to continue work in the beauty industry. Snapping up for the film industry in Los Angeles, Johnathan decided to travel on to the west coast and settle down. The adventure of transforming clients for character work and major beauty spreads thrilled him. Working with photographers such as Bruce Webber and Steven Meisel appealed to Johnathan’s creativity.

In addition, Johnathan thrives when teaching and mentoring his students. Helping guide the young hairdresser’s successful careers is yet another way he flourishes in the beauty industry. There are many slogans in the beauty industry and Johnathan teaches what he believes, “If you look good, you feel great! Keep it simple and be your authentic self!”

A complement Johnathan always enjoys is being told, “I didn’t know your hair was colored. It looks like you were born with that color!” And to his delight, he hears it often.

Johnathan currently resides in Los Angeles.
