Love by Diego Binetti (Kunst)
Diego Binetti is a high-fashion collection aimed at the jet-setting woman of the world. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Diego Binetti's first experience in fashion was at 7 years old. As he helped his mother embellish embroideries on elaborate couture gowns for clients with tiny hands, he began to understand and love his mother's passion for fashion. At 15, he took classes for high fashion, sewing, draping, pattern making, and embroidery at the Institute Donato Delego in Argentina.
After his family immigrated to the coast of Florida, he graduated from the Miami International University of Art & Design, formerly known as the International Fine Arts College in 1991. Diego then moved to Milan where he worked in the field as an assistant to Antonio Bordonaro for fashion houses such as Bulgari, Paola Franni and others. He continued his fashion education at the Institute Marangoni with a focus on sewing, pattern making, and draping. At 24, Diego moved to New York and began working as an assistant stylist to Antonia Bordonaro. A year later, he secured a job at Jill Stuart and worked as her right hand and head designer for five years. There, he helped develop her empire working closely with Isabel Dupre, Beth Blake, Cathy Kasterine, and Brana Wolf. Binetti has also worked for several European and Asian houses as creative consultant including: Twin-Set with Barbra Simone 2006, Abaco-Paris 2007 and Pride Glide for Onward Kashiyama 2008.
In September 2001, the Diego Binetti line was founded by Diego Binetti. In September 2011, LOVE the sister line was launched. The Diego Binetti line is a high-fashion collection aimed at the jet-setting woman of the world. Alternatively, the recently established Ilovebinetti line is for the fun, modern, career woman of today.
Diego's vision is unique and ever changing with threads of the past and present. His recent S/S 2011 is all about capturing the observation of the outside world: a Mother Earth hue elevates the organic colors into the designs. Reflections of the Spring Sky grace and reflect upon the delicate pieces. Feel the Air and transport your feminine self into a blown-out-gown. Fly away into an enchanted cherry blossom and bring that beauty back into the textile. The woman in her own domain as goddess, confident, elegant, passionate and a sexual romantic.
