Luke Day (Kunst)
Graduating in 1998, Luke was appointed Fashion Editor of Attitude in 2001 before becoming their Fashion Director in 2004. In 2008 Luke went on to become the Fashion Editor of Arena Homme+, working on five issues, including the 30th issue and the renowned 'Popaganda' issue commemorating the 25th anniversary of Ray Petri's death with the legendary Art Director, Neville Brody.
Since September 2010, Luke was appointed Fashion Director of GQ Style, UK.
Luke has also contributed to the following magazines; Dazed & Confused, British GQ, Pop, V Man, i-D, Vanity Fair, Candy, Men's vogue China, VS magazine and Commons & Sense Man.
Photographers worked with include; Alisdair McLellan, Terry Richardson, Daniel Jackson, Rankin, Boo George, Kacper Kasprzyk, Angelo Pennatta, Matthias Vriens, Ben Weller, Mariano Vivanco, Bryan Adams, Lachlan Bailey, Julian Broad, Vanina Sorrenti, Jack Pierson, Toby McFarlan Pond, Magnus Unnar, Jamie Hawkesworth, Alex Sainsbury, Chad Pitman, Josh Olins, David Hughes and Robert Wyatt.
Advertising clients include; Belstaff, Lyle & Scott, Levi's, Topman, Marks & Spencer, Thomas Pink, River Island, House of Fraser, Debenhams, Clarks & Dove. Luke styles on a regular basis with global online giant ASOS, working closely on advertising campaigns, lookbooks other visual communications. Luke has styled numerous Paul Smith campaigns, these include; Paul Smith, PS, Paul x, Pink, Black, London and Paul Smith fragrances.
Luke is responsible for masterminding the image of Take That's comeback, styling every video and photo shoot and costume designing three record breaking world tours. He has also worked with celebrities including; Scissor Sisters, Channing Tatum, The Feeling, The Wanted, Will Young, The script, Joe Jonas, Russell Brand, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Preston, David Haye, Kylie Minogue, Rufus Wainwright, David Beckham, Freddie Ljungberg and John Terry.
In April 2008, Luke Day was named in The Times UK Music's top 20 star-makers, citing the industry's most powerful and in-demand players today. Luke was the only stylist included in this list which was topped by Lucien Grainge the Universal Music Group International Chairman/CEO and Simon Cowell who ranked in at number 2.
Luke is currently based in London.
