Serge Normant is undeniably one of the leading hairstylists in the fashion industry today. Top fashion magazines, including Harper's Bazaar, W, Allure, Elle and Vogue, regularly book Normant for cover sittings and fashion and beauty stories. He has worked with some of the most respected photographers in the industry including Richard Avedon, Michael Thompson, Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, Irving Penn, Annie Lebovitz, Mario Testino, Mario Sorrenti, Carter Smith and Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

Serge began his career in Paris at the Bruno Pittini Salon, and after much success he moved to New York to pursue freelance work. He has worked with an extensive range of advertising clients including Chanel, Estee Lauder, Clairol, L'Oreal, Revlon, Neutrogena, Lancôme, Tiffany & Co., Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Celine and Yves Saint Laurent. He has led the hairstyling teams for the fashion shows of designers such as Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Sonia Rykiel and L’Wren Scott.

In addition, he works regularly on celebrities such as Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon, Blake Lively, Julianne Moore, Ellen Pompeo and Elizabeth Hurley, as well as supermodels Gisele Bündchen, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford.

In 2001, Serge published his first book, Femme Fatale, which examines hairstyling throughout the 20th century. His second book, Metamorphosis (2004), transforms the looks of well-known actresses and models from the contemporary to the extraordinary.

Serge currently co-owns and runs three salons with John Frieda. Two of the Serge Normant at John Frieda salons are located in New York City -- one uptown, one downtown -- and the third salon is located in Los Angeles.

In late-2010, Serge launched an eponymous line of transformative hair care and styling products. Currently consisting of eight essential products, the Serge Normant product line is available nationwide, including at Barneys New York and select Space NK stores, as well on www.sergenormant.com (see website for additional locations).
