Sophie Duran (Winkel)
Sophie Duran ( 1984, Gouda) woont en werkt in Rotterdam. Na de theaterschool, ging ze naar de Design Academy Eindhoven en studeerde daar in 2008 af. Ze startte haar eigen ontwerpstudio, iets wat ze altijd al wilde doen. Haar manier van werken is intuitief, balancerend tussen kunst en design. Met haar herkenbare handschrift en een goed gevoel voor kleur creeërt ze verschillende atmosferen, die je tweemaal doen kijken. Haar doel is om de schoonheid op deze wereld te benadrukken en daar nieuwe aan toe te voegen.
Sophie Duran ( born 1984, Gouda), lives and works in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. After theatreschool, Sophie went to The Design Academy Eindhoven where she graduated at the end of 2008. After that, she moved to Rotterdam and started her own studio, something she always wanted to do.
As a conceptual designer, Sophie balances between art and design. She always works from out of her instinct. With her recognizable handwriting and a good sence for colour, she creates different atmospheres. Whether it's jewellery, textile printing or (home) accessories: she grabs you as a viewer and makes you look twice.
Her goal is to point out the beauty in this world and ad 'new beauty' to that herself.
