Tsé & Tsé associées, Twenty Years of Stainless Optimism
Catherine Lévy and Sigolène Prébois have been drawing objects they then have manufactured, before distributing them all over the world under the name Tsé & Tsé associées.
The cheerful soundness of their intuition has allowed them to build a completely independent structure, and to remain free choose their own projects. Which is how they’ve been able to run their own risks, such as producing unexpected objects they were the only ones to believe in to start off with: the April Vase, the Cubist Garland and the Famished Plates, which have all become timeless bestsellers, often copied and never equalled.
Their taste for long-lasting, easy-to-live-with objects has taken them far from the ephemeral waves of fashion. It’s not easy to date their objects… The latter are neither longwinded nor ostentatious: you appreciate them when you use them.
They are indeed sincere and practical, but they also like to surprise and please, stepping slightly aside from the usual, with beautiful colours and twinkling, humouristic references.
They are both passionate travelers, inspired by their voyages, and they often work with foreign manufacturers, careful to make sure they are not just subcontracting, but actually collaborating with them.
Finally, they such for (and find) solutions to ideas and design product for other brands, either in beauty items, lamps and lighting accessories and ground surface. They restructure and decorate varies different places, and also work on scenography for exhibitions.
Since may 2011, Tse & Tsé associees have a well established shop of their own at last, at 7, rue Saint Roch in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris.
It is a small shop in their image, which shelters the entire collection, and the troop of objects they have created is flourishing and eclectic… Soon to come, precious jewellery. The Tsé Tsé shop also enables them to share their latest research and their unusual lucky finds.
