Unique Ideas for Your Wedding’s Guestbook

One topic that I am passionate about, but haven’t been able to write about too much yet, is event planning. I love everything that goes into it, from the presentation of the food to the centerpiece decor. I haven’t had a chance to write in a few days, because I have been busy planning my wedding. I became engaged early in December, and I am now just starting to look at venues and such. I still haven’t decided on how many people I will invite, what time of year I want it to take place, what my dress with look like, etc. I do know that I want to pay attention to the little things, & I want to do things a little different than the traditional wedding. One part of a wedding that is often overlooked is the guestbook! It’s often an afterthought for most people. Trying something different is fun and it won’t cost you a lot of money. Are you planning a wedding? Here are a few unique ideas for you guestbook: Bella Puzzles Have each guest sign a puzzle piece. Once put together, you can have it nicely framed. Take this an extra step, and turn one of your engagement photos into a puzzle. Fabulously Chic Events Have each guest write a comment and their name on a stone (these were from Home Depot). Showcase the stones in a glass jar for a polished look. Paper Source Use a calendar, and have your guests sign their names on their birthday date. This will also be beneficial, because you will have all of your guest’s birthdays in one place for future reference. Martha Stewart Have each guest write a message with their signature on a square piece of fabric. Later these squares can be sewn together for a keepsake quilt. The Knot Find a vintage typewriter at a thrift store or Ebay. Have your guests type out their signatures and well wishes. Other fun ideas are to have your guests add certain messages with their signatures. For example, advice for a healthy marriage, funny memories of you as a couple, etc. http://shabbytochicdesigns.com/?p=984#more-984
