Sarah Nixon has been lovingly designing and making jewellery for over 10 years. Her most recent label 'Velveteen' started in 2008 and continues to evolve and grow as she plays with new and exciting materials. Her most recent range has a vintage-inspired romantic aesthetic and her love of the Victorian era shines through in her designs. The pieces are made using her new favourite material brass and she enjoys combining the vintage look of oxidised brass with contemporary- looking materials such as resin, paper and sterling silver. The jewellery evokes a feeling of a time gone by, like a forgotten treasure found in Nanna's jewellery box.
