William Oliver (Kunst)
A London based artist, William Oliver was a painter of figurative subjects, preferring to depict young women. He exhibited from 1867-1882 at all of the finest British exhibitions, including the Royal Society of British Artists, British Institution and the Royal Academy. During the 1870s and 1880s, like many other English Artists, Oliver became interested in Greek and Roman themes, enabling to demonstrate his ability to paint marble and rich fabric.
