Born and raised in France, Cyril Laloue’s childhood is filled with fond memories of growing up in a castle. A unique upbringing in lush surroundings inspired a strong aesthetic sensibility in Cyril and greatly influenced his artistic vision and approach to his craft today.

In much of his work, Cyril fuses the old with the new, the sharp and bold with the soft and beautiful. In doing so, he bridges his generation with that of the old world classicism and elegance that nourished him during his formative years.

At the age of 15, Cyril found an outlet for his ideas and creativity through an apprenticeship in a Paris salon. By 22 he became the assistant to a top hair-stylist. It was not long thereafter that Cyril began his career as a freelance artist.

Cyril’s editorial contributions include Numéro, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Flair, Elle and The New York Times. He has collaborated with photographers such as Miles Aldridge, Lars Botten, Karen Collins, Sophie Delaporte, Sarah Moon, Nicolas Moore, Joshua Jordan, William Klein, Bettina Rheims, Paolo Roversi, Bharat Sikka, Sofia & Mauro, Takay, Javier Vallhonrat, Mariano Vivanco, Ellen Von Unwerth and Robert Wyatt. Cyril has also worked on a number of ad campaigns and catalogues such as Chantal Thomass, Louis Vuitton, Cesare Paciotti, Hugo Boss, Dim, Evian and Orange.

Furthermore, celebrities such as Elizabeth Hurley, Kylie Minogue, Vanessa Paradis, Catherine Deneuve, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Chiara Mastroianni, Ludivine Saignier, Asia Argento have all requested Cyril’s talent.

Cyril is based in Paris.
