It was a whirlwind of a few days in Paris (oh you know, just hanging with Uncle Karl and checking out the latest Chanel collection – NBD), and while jetlagged we may be, we managed to pick ourselves off the floor and get it together for today’s killer post – playing peeping tom into the world of Danielle Snyder, one half of DANNIJO, the handmade jewelry collection that is the brainchild of sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder. While she may be the official energizer bunny of 2012 (or at least we think so) she basically had to kick us out of her pad, otherwise we could have played dress up with her incredible closet all day…and night. The line debuted in 2008 and they’ve since created a luxe line of swoon worthy gems that we’ve become die-hard fans of. Speed bio: she grew up in Jacksonville, taught herself how to make jewelry on her dad’s medical tools, attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and got the ‘non profit’ bug once a trip to Kenya pulled at her heartstrings. She co-founded L.W.A.L.A – Live With A Life-long Ambition in 2007 after visiting the village of Lwala. Danielle helped raise money for Africa by empowering change and in doing so, they raised over $100,000.00. Amen sister! Now, back to the gems. After launching, their first account was Bergdorf Goodman, and since then they’ve exploded. Literally. The double trouble sisters designs have been featured on everyone from Beyoncé, Natalie Portman, and Oprah. She spends her days man repelling (she just so happens to be boys with the one and only Leandra Medine – BTW we have part two of Ms. Medine’s sartorial picks coming to a screen near you in 2012 – BOOYEAH!) and through their mutual love of shearling vests with opaque tights and red-soled clogs, they created a collaboration of kick ass jewels last August. From her sick vintage collection (we could shop in her closet any day) to her blinged out goodies, after reading through this, we’ve realized our arms, necks, and fingers are bare. While an arm party would work – in this case, it’s all about an ‘arm rager’.
