Peta completed a Bachelor of Arts beofre going on to follow her dream of studying Fashion and Textile Design. Graduating from the West Australian School of Art, Design and Media at Central TAFE in 2001, she worked in fashion for a short while, and then launched her own label petrafanella. In 2005, after a move to Bunbury, a coastal town in the South West of Western Australia, Peta put the label on hold while she focused on a career in the arts and motherhood. In late 2009, Peta joined the committee of Made on the Left, an organisation supporting all things hand made in Western Australia, which provided the inspiration to open an etsy store and once again launch petrafanella, this time focusing on what has always been her passion - knitwear. Peta hand knits all the pieces herself and only wishes she also had the time to spin and dye the yarns as well! She dreams of one day owning a fashion label where she has a hand in every part of the creative process.
