Instead of doing his homework or playing ice hockey with the guys as a young boy in Finland, Riku Campo spent his time obsessing over fashion magazines, movie star portrait books and dreaming of one day becoming a makeup artist.
Years later, he attended the only makeup-school in Helsinki and the rest is history: after 20 years in the business, Riku has proven that hard work and doing what you love are the secrets to his success.

Riku loves skincare and religiously researches products for his many clients. “Beautiful makeup cannot exist without proper skincare” is Riku’s motto. Riku also published his first U.S. book “BEST IN BEAUTY” in 2010, which features celebrities Shannen Doherty, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jon Kortajarena, Anne Archer and Rebecca De Mornay.

Riku has worked alongside top photographers in the industry, including Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Matthew Rolston, Koto Bolofo, Michel Comte, Matthias Vriens- McGrath and Randee St Nicholas.

Riku has also created signature looks for Hollywood beauties such as Anne Hathaway, Rosario Dawson, Felicity Huffmann, Cindy Crawford, Lauren Hutton, Meg Ryan, Anna Kendrick and Nikki Reed to name a few.

His work has been featured in Vogue, Vogue L’uomo, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, Marie Claire and V.

Riku lives in Santa Monica, California and spends his time between Los Angeles and New York.
