Sarai Fiszel (Kunst)

Born in Israel and raised in France, makeup artist Sarai Fiszel began assisting Linda Cantello, then creative director of Yves Saint Laurent beauty, shortly after graduating from ITM artistic makeup school in Paris.

Through the encouragement of her mentor, she learned to navigate between fashion and beauty with efficiency and precision, acquiring first-hand experience working on runway shows and prestigious campaigns including Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Hermes, Helmut Lang and Celine.

Her skill and sensibility also led her to become key makeup artist on editorial shoots with Bruce Weber, Solve Sundsbo, Yu Tsai, and Terry Richardson. Her work has been featured in magazines Vanity Fair, Paradis, Purple, Black Book, Lab, Vogue (L’Uomo, Italian and Germany), Rolling Stone and L’Officiel.

Sarai has since continued to hone her craft among the most sophisticated fashion circles and has worked on numerous campaigns.

In 2006, Sarai moved to Los Angeles where she brought her impeccable taste and expertise to the music and entertainment industry. Traveling with ease from the underground to the mainstream, she has worked on countless music videos and editorial shoots with artists ranging from Devendra Banhart to Pharrell Williams, Lykke Li, Norah Jones and Ke$ha.

She has since added film and red carpet work to her resume, through her recurring work with Oscar-winner Natalie Portman, Rosario Dawson and rising French star Lea Seydoux.

She currently spends her time working between Los Angeles, New York and Paris.
