Bio: Dividing their time between New York and Sydney is Australian multi-disciplinary illustration & design studio Debaser.
Coming from a background in creative direction for the music industry, illustrator and designers David Homer & Aaron Hayward founded Debaser in 2003. Since then, the studio has been hugely successful. They have been nominated for the Best Cover Art ARIA Award eight times and have won the award three times for their work on the multi platinum albums: Powderfinger's "Dream Days At The Hotel Existence", Bernard Fanning's "Tea & Sympathy", and most recently, Empire Of The Sun's debut album "Walking On A Dream". In July 2010, they also won the inaugural ANNDAS International Design Award for their digital paintings and Art Direction on the Empire Of The Sun album.
They now produce work for a wide variety of Australian & International clients, and have built a loyal base of both music and non-music clients. Renowned for their unique approach to their work, Debaser like to work in a wide variety of styles, techniques and mediums, constantly developing new methods and approaches. Put simply, they'll do whatever they have to in order to meet and surpass a brief's requirements. Whether that be by using digital techniques, photography or traditional paint and ink craft, they like to keep things fresh and unique to each and every project.
