This book comes complete with a Touch-or-Click Table of Contents, divided by each section. This edition has a linked Table of Contents and has been wonderfully formatted (searchable and interlinked) to work on your eBook reader.

The idea for this book came to me on a Sunday evening. My wife and I have spent our Sundays the same way for as long as I can remember.

We wake up, get dressed (and do all the stuff that goes along with mornings), and then head to church. We used to stay at church for most of the day. Just listening and praying. For my wife and me, Sunday church is the time to forget about all the worries with money and work and all the other things that cause stress.

Sometimes we get to church at eight and stay until close to four. Since our daughter was born, we stay for just about as long as she can take it. To be honest, she mostly sleeps through it, but it is an important time that our little family shares together.

After church we head home, maybe watch a little television, and start cooking Sunday dinner. These dinners are so important to me. Growing up in a little rural part of the ‘States, Sunday dinner was about the most exciting part of the week. Some of my best memories are of my family sitting around the dinner table enjoying a hot home cooked meal.

So, we got our friends and colleagues together and made this book. We rounded up the best family recipes we had and provided a little background about what makes each one special.

Each recipe is tried and true. None of that “1,000+ recipe in one book” stuff, this is the best of the best.

From our family to yours, we hope you enjoy.

The word "Catholic" means "universal," and this cookbook lives up to the name in that sense. Anyone who has grown up in a religious home where Mom or Grandma served up a traditional feast after church services will appreciate the familiar and comforting recipes, as well as the prayerful presentation.
Looking over the recipes, most of which I've served or been served at family dinners myself, I was pleased to see they weren't entirely the well-known generic recipes found in most of grandma's cookbooks, but each one had a unique ingredient or individual twist, which any good cook includes and sometimes doesn't reveal. I'm eager to try them, and compare the results with my own versions.
I would like to suggest that if the author plans another edition or a second similar book, please include something with chocolate!

A wonderful little cookbook filled with delicious recipes sure to put a smile on your families faces as well as bring the family back to the table again. I love the little prayers sprinkled throughout the book. This is a great addition to your e-book collection and one that will be treasured for years to come. Thank you for this wonderful cookbook.

These are great "homey" recipes with a personal touch! I like the personal introduction to each recipe.....gives you the feel of sharing a treasured family favorite recipe with a good friend! And delicious...oh! You can't miss with this collection!
