Emma Anna (Kunst)

*****
As a young child Emma Anna dreamed of being a rockstar, believing that music had the power to change the world.
Not being able to sing, nor to play an instrument, she instead settled on a career in journalism and later, art direction. At the very ripe age of 33 Emma finally accepted that she was perhaps best suited to the role of artist / muckracker and so resigned from her day job and set about making lots of mess.

Recently Emma was invited to tour her sculpture ‘imag_ne’ across Australia and Europe. Accompanying the work on its journey, Emma developed new and creative travel methodologies that she is sure will one day be published as a book. Along the way she also fell momentarily in love with a tall, red-haired Danish poet, skinny dipped at secret, hidden away beaches in beautiful Western Australia, found herself at dinner with Princess Mary (certainly one of the more surreal moments of her life) and spent a couple of months soaking up the Zeitgeist and designing greeting cards whilst drinking over-priced coffee in the cafes of Berlin.

Emma confesses an addiction to Facebook and Nougart Honey Log’s, often ponders the role of public art in social consciousness and still dreams of changing the world.
